For almost 30 years, National Perinatal Surveys (ENP) have been carried out regularly at the request of the Ministry of Health. They provide data on the health status of mothers and newborns, medical practices during pregnancy and childbirth, and the demographic and social characteristics of women and families. They make it possible to describe changes in the perinatal health. They also provide information to public health decision makers, medical doctors, midwives and women on the needs and the impact of decisions and recommendations made.
