Scientific summary

My research focuses on the risk factors for obstetric complications during labor and delivery and the impact of medical interventions during labor and delivery on maternal and perinatal outcomes.

Principal on-going projects

  • Management of the 2nd stage of labor: randomized multicentre trial PASST (Alternative to the intensive management of 2nd stage of labor)
  • Induction of labor: prospective national cohort MEDIP (Induction Methods and Perinatal Issues)
  • Medical interventions during labor and delivery, using data from the National Perinatal Surveys
  • Management of posterior fetal positions during labor: EVADELA randomized multicentre trial and evaluation of manual rotation
